I photographed this 8-shot campaign for Advance Pet Care (Mars) a while ago and it’s still one of my favorites. The CD and client had complete faith in my delivery of the campaign. They also understood that when shooting animals, we are at the mercy of those little villains and the chances of shooting random gold are enhanced by letting me create the space required. Mars gave absolute creative freedom with a broad window of time (3 weeks), so my assistant and I went nuts. I was able to treat this job like a project rather than X number of days on location. Our human talent were everyday-peeps so we just hung with them and their fury friends and did what they did. At the end of week 3, we were overwhelmed with too many great shots… a common problem with my shoots and a problem I’m happy to create 😉
